PORT CENTRAL

When fully completed, Port Central, a commercial business and retail precinct,
will provide cutting-edge facilities for the Port of Brisbane.

Located in the heart of one of the busiest ports in Australia, the Port Central precinct provides a major opportunity for companies seeking a strategic port location for their business.

Over the next couple of years, the precinct will offer comprehensive on-site amenities making it easy for people to shop, eat, relax and run errands during their spare time. Work is set to begin on the second office building, which will be the new headquarters for the Port of Brisbane Pty Ltd..

The Port Central precinct has been designed with the interests of the port community in mind. Consistent pedestrian linkages and shared open spaces throughout the office park will help foster this important sense of community, and promote social interactions between neighbouring tenants, staff and visitors to the precinct.

Port Central 1

Port Central 1 is the first building in the master-planned precinct. The Port Central vision embraces sustainable design principles, striving for a harmonious mix of business, environment, and community. Port Central 1 is a three-storey office building that incorporates the latest in technology and sustainable design, with a café that is open to the public, and caters for the port’s workers. The café is on the ground floor of Port Central 1. It is open from 7:00am to 3:00pm every working day. You can eat inside the café or outside, or you can take away, if you’re on the go.

Port Central 1 was awarded a 5 Star Green Star-Office Design v2 from the Green Building Council of Australia. The building features innovative lighting and cooling systems, water sensitive urban design, and many other initiatives to conserve energy and resources.

The New Port Office

Port Central 1 has established a sustainable benchmark for all future buildings within the precinct, including the new Port Office, which is currently in the design phase.
This green building will be the Port of Brisbane Pty Ltd's new headquarters, and is expected to be completed mid 2010.
